After growing up and performing in countless theatre productions in the Chicago area, Shauna set off on her college career with aspirations of becoming the next Diane Sawyer, earning a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. There she anchored and reported for the university's news magazine show and studied acting as well, performing in several plays. She also worked professionally on air as a news reporter for Peoria's NBC affiliate WEEK while still a student finishing up her degree.

Following graduation, Shauna returned home to Chicago, where she took a break from news and chose to focus on her acting career, appearing in several commercials and independent films. She also found the time to indulge her inner style maven, touring the Midwest as a National Makeup Artist and spokesperson for Bobbi Brown Essentials Cosmetics.

Los Angeles soon beckoned, and not long after making her move to the west coast, Shauna seamlessly made the transition from acting to television hosting. Her solid broadcasting skills combined with her performance background, bright personality and inquisitive nature have kept her busy as a host and reporter ever since. She currently appears on the nationally syndicated "Budget Travel Minute". Additional appearances include TV Guide Network's "Hollywood 411" and "Extra", among many others.

Off-camera, she's a passionate foodie and baking fiend who keeps a food blog called "Piece of Cake". She splits her time between Los Angeles and San Francisco, where she lives with her husband and two crazy cats.
